Iļģuciema Alus

The classical beer production at the Iļģuciema factory was stopped in the early 1990s and only in 2017 ILGEZEEM started up the small workshop to restart the lager production. Later, the range of beers was expanded to include kraft beers. Riga's largest independent brewery produces more than 1 300,000 litres of beer every year.

Märzen

This beer is brewed according to a 150-year-old recipe. Traditionally, this type of beer was brewed from September onwards, finishing with the seasonal brew in March. It has a characteristic unique taste of meat and fresh smoked meats.

Kvass

Since ancient times, kvass has been a traditional Slavic and Baltic drink, available to the poorest people not only on the festive table but also in everyday life. Kvass became an integral part of okroshka, sorrel cold and beetroot soups, helping the digestive system.

By the 15th century, the number of varieties of kvass had reached more than 500.

The culture of making and consuming yeast is associated with strength, prosperity and health. It was believed that when a fire was extinguished, it was necessary to throw a barrel of kvass into the flames so that such a calamity would not befall the home again.

All sourdough is naturally fermented, pasteurised, free of artificial flavours, colours, preservatives, nutritious and contains vitamin C. The most popular yeasts from Ilguciems include Original, Unfiltered and Porter.

Maibock

Aluzaurs recommends a bohemian beer that will be relevant in any situation.

Maibock's distinctive flavour is made up of oat flakes and three types of hops: Callista, Simcoe, Northern Brewer.

Internationalisms are making their way into our everyday lives, but not every name is unfamiliar and Maibock is proof of that. The berry and citrus flavours will give you a warm earthy vibe, while the pine and earthiness will remind you of the versatility of self-identity.

Porter

Iļģuciema Porter beer is recognised as the best among the 157 varieties of beer available.

The special caramel flavour, the rich dark tone, no heaviness. Also good for business in a luncheon as a token of success.

Health Malt Drink Original

This historic drink is marked with the Bordeaux spoon, a special quality mark.
